Basketball Game Preview: Fredonia Lynx vs. Shonto Prep Grizzlies

The Fredonia Lynx will host the Shonto Prep Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Fredonia had to suffer through a 57-27 loss at the hands of Red Mesa.

Despite the loss, Fredonia had strong showings from Austin Cluff, who posted 15 points, and Isaac Sample, who earned four points and eight rebounds. Those 15 points gave Cluff a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Shonto Prep took a blow against El Capitan on Tuesday, falling 101-18. The game marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fredonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Shonto Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Fredonia took their victory against Shonto Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 69-47. Will Fredonia repeat their success, or does Shonto Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
