Shermon Davis Drops League-Best Effort on Friday

Starting off the list is Riverside's Shermon Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards.

Riverside's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3. Davis and Riverside are on the road again on Friday to play Englewood at 6:30 p.m.

Dante Treadwell Crosses Big Stat Threshold

While Dante Treadwell delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Englewood. Treadwell was excellent, picking up 1.5 sacks and making 19 total tackles (4.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 8 total tackles per game.

Englewood's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. Treadwell and Englewood will take on Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

If history really does repeat itself, Johnson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Sandalwood on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Saints), he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.
