Shermon Davis Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Riverside's Shermon Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards.
Riverside's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3. Davis and Riverside are on the road again on Friday to play Englewood at 6:30 p.m.

Dante Treadwell Crosses Big Stat Threshold
While Dante Treadwell delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Englewood. Treadwell was excellent, picking up 1.5 sacks and making 19 total tackles (4.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 8 total tackles per game.

ED White was led to victory by Johnny Duckett, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Duckett wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss). The match was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
On the season, Duckett has averaged 6.3 total tackles per game and for the season has 5 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.5 total tackles per game.

On Friday, ED White got the W thanks in part to Javon Johnson playing the best football he has all season. Johnson picked up two sacks, made ten total tackles, and defended a pass.
If history really does repeat itself, Johnson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Sandalwood on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Saints), he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.

The second Riverside player making an appearance here is Glenn Foreman Iii, and for good reason. He threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
