Football Recap: Hot Springs Falls to Chester-Joplin-Inverness in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Hot Springs unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks on Friday, falling 52-8. The Savage Heat lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-54 score last time.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hot Springs is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Shields Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester-Joplin-Inverness, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Highwood at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
