Basketball Recap: Muncie Burris Comes Up Short

Muncie Burris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the University Trailblazers and fell 55-18. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 170th).

University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Feeney, who posted six points along with ten rebounds and seven assists. That's the most assists Feeney has posted since back in January. Taylor Seay was another key player, going 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Muncie Burris' loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for University, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Liberty Christian the next time they take the court. University will host Liberty Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Muncie Burris will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
