Football Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Tipton Cardinals
Linn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-12 loss at the hands of the Tipton Cardinals. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-0.
Although Linn took the loss, they still got scores from Devin Brandt and Gus Peters.
Linn's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tipton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linn will face off against South Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Callaway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Linn likes a good challenge. As for Tipton, they will be playing at home against Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tipton will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
