Hidden Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mazama with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Scarlett Gordon made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sam Lesher was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Aidriana Orellana was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Phoenix hadn't done well against Eagle Point recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Pirates walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.
The team relied heavily on Rylie Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season.
Hidden Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Phoenix, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Phoenix's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hidden Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. It's a different story for Phoenix, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Hidden Valley's hitters?
Hidden Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Phoenix in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
