Soccer Recap: Rio Grande Takes a Loss

After flying high against Del Norte on Tuesday, Rio Grande came back down to earth. The Ravens came up short against the Cibola Cougars on Saturday, falling 12-0. Rio Grande have struggled against Cibola recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Rio Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cibola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Rio Grande and Cibola will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Ravens will take on rival Los Lunas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cibola is set to challenge their familiar foe Cleveland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
