Baseball Game Preview: First Assembly Christian Crusaders vs. Cordova Wolves

First Assembly Christian has gone a perfect 7-0 against Cordova recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Crusaders will host the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. First Assembly Christian's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Evangelical Christian hit First Assembly Christian with a five-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-2.

First Assembly Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Jones, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. The Crusaders are 4-1-1 when Jones posts two or more runs, but 6-16 otherwise. Christian Forrest was another, going 3-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Cordova was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 11-2 to Memphis Central. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

First Assembly Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17-1. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.
