Volleyball Recap: Ansonia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ansonia lost against Oxford back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Wolverines.

Ansonia couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 26-24.

Oxford can attribute much of their success to Vangie Magera, who had 19 digs and one assist. Magera is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Oxford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Ansonia has already played their next contest (against Derby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oxford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pomperaug at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
