The result came thanks to Dorsey Grose's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Charles J. Colgan's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kayli Lamboy, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Kayla Boatwright also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Forest Park hit Woodbridge with a six-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Bruins, falling 11-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
