Baseball Recap: Parker Broncs vs. Mohave Accelerated Patriots
Parker won the last time they faced Mohave Accelerated and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Broncs walked away with a 9-4 win over the Patriots. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncs.

Maddix Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Oscar Ortega was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Parker is undefeated when Ortega posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Rowan Holt, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Parker's record now sits at 5-7. As for Mohave Accelerated, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parker will challenge ALA - West Foothills at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. The Broncs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Mohave Accelerated, they will square off against Trivium Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
