Basketball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short

Central Valley suffered their biggest defeat since January 26th on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 64-29 loss at the hands of the West Wolfpack. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nicholas Dominguez, who posted six points.

Central Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for West, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Central Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-38 loss against Central Catholic on the 18th. As for West, they will be playing at home against Tokay at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in West's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
