Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe-Woodbury). They never let the Valley Central Vikings get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Monroe-Woodbury's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. As for Valley Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe-Woodbury will take on Newburgh Free Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Central, they will challenge Washingtonville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
