Soccer Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

If Bayside was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Green Run on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marlins lost 9-0 to the Kellam Knights on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Bayside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Kellam are ranked second).

Bayside's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Kellam, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bayside will take on rival Ocean Lakes at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kellam is set to challenge their familiar foe Kempsville at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
