Annawan-Wethersfield dropped their record down to 18-10 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Sherrard Tigers, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Sherrard, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Considering they have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Sherrard's part, Harrison Curry was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylan Bender, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Annawan-Wethersfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-2 victory against Monmouth-Roseville on the 16th. Sherrard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
