Armstrong hadn't done well against Franklin Regional recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The River Hawks came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 7-3. The victory was familiar territory for the River Hawks, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Josie Porter was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Lily Gutherie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Armstrong hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Franklin Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Armstrong and Franklin Regional will both be playing Penn-Trafford the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the River Hawks will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
