Softball Recap: Trinity Shamrocks vs. Milton Hershey Spartans
Trinity scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Milton Hershey Spartans a 25-0 shutout. The victory was just what Trinity needed coming off of a 10-3 loss in their prior match.
Molly Maney was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Allie Aschenbrenner was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Trinity pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Trinity will take on Middletown at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Middletown knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Trinity likes a good challenge. As for Milton Hershey, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Pennsboro at 8:15 p.m. on May 6th.
