Football Recap: Runge Piles Up the Points Against Coastal Christian Homeschool

Runge never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Coastal Christian HomeSchool on Friday. They breezed past the Badgers to the tune of 68-6. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won three games by 50 points or more so far this season.

Runge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathaniel Perez, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown.all of that, rushing production came thanks to one massive run Bradley Jones was another key rusher, rushing for 63 yards and one score.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Runge, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Martin Sanders, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Runge's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Coastal Christian HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Runge will host New Braunfels Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will need to watch out since the Homeschool have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Coastal Christian HomeSchool, they will head out to face off against Benavides at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
