Volleyball Recap: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Canby Lancers. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Saints in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-10.

Canby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaryn Houseman out in front who had 14 digs. Houseman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Canby, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Yellow Medicine East at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Canby will take on rival Lac qui Parle Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
