Basketball Recap: Amherst County Takes a Loss

Amherst County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. The game between them and the Glass Hilltoppers didn't end well, with the Amherst County Lancers falling 56-41. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 66-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Amherst County lost, don't look at Devonte Wade. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.

Amherst County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Glass, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Amherst County will take on Altavista in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glass, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eastern Mennonite at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
