Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ella Stephens and Ryan Hines Lead Hickory to Victory

Hickory won the last time they faced East Lincoln and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Tornadoes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Tornadoes.

Hickory was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-16.

Leading Hickory to victory were Ryan Hines and Ella Stephens. Hines had 15 assists and six digs, while Stephens had five assists. That's the most assists Stephens has posted over her last five matches. Emma Mullis also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for East Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Hickory didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Alexander Central on the 6th. As for East Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Maiden on the 7th.
