Football Recap: LEILANI ROCHE Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win

Castle Park never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Canyon Hills Rattlers 26-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Rattlers are ranked 169th).

Castle Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but LEILANI ROCHE led the charge by throwing for 112 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of her passes, and also rushing for 60 yards and one score on only eight carries. AOLANI MORALES was in the mix too, providing the Trojans with two TDs.

Castle Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of ROCHE and XIMENA QUEZADA. Another thorn in Canyon Hills' side was SAVANNAH MARKS, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.

Castle Park has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points this season. As for Canyon Hills, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Castle Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-0 win against Eastlake on the 21st. As for Canyon Hills, they will host Logan Memorial Education Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Rattlers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
