Soccer Recap: Sylacauga Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sylacauga came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Westbrook Christian Warriors. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Aggies were the better team in the second half.

Casey Malone and Joe Gaspar scored all three of Sylacauga's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Sylacauga's victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Sylacauga will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Springville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sylacauga is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season. As for Westbrook Christian, they will take on Oneonta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
