Victoria East found their leader in underclassman Carlon Helms, who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Seguin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Victoria East, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Seguin has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 194 rushing yards per game.
