Volleyball Game Preview: Bassett Olympians vs. Pomona Red Devils

After both having extra time off, the Bassett Olympians and the Pomona Red Devils will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, Bassett got the win against La Puente by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Olympians in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Pomona not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20, 2024. They blew past La Puente 3-0.

Pomona not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept La Puente between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Bassett's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Pomona, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Bassett took their victory against Pomona in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Olympians since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
