Brookwood scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against the McAdory Yellowjackets, falling 54-26. The Panthers lost against the Yellowjackets in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-14 score last time.

Brookwood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leland Foster, who rushed for 33 yards and one score, and Jordan Riley, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one touchdown.

McAdory got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Patton out in front who threw for 254 yards and five TDs. Those five passing touchdowns gave Patton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Derrion Davis, who gained 141 total yards.

Brookwood is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for McAdory, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Brookwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 25-6 win against Chilton County on the 26th. As for McAdory, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,076 yards in their previous games.
