Baseball Recap: North Callaway's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While North Callaway's victory against South Callaway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunderbirds skirted past the Bulldogs 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Thunderbirds sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Carson Bassett, who fired off nine triples, two RBI, and one run while going 10-for-2. Those nine triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

North Callaway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Callaway's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for South Callaway, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-13.

As of now, neither North Callaway nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
