Game recap: Central Dauphin East beaten by State College high school football team

Central Dauphin East (Harrisburg, Pa.) was defeated by State College (Pa.), 21-7.

The Little Lions were up 14-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Ryan Goeke in the second quarter.

State College saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to seven entering the fourth.

SC's standout player in the win was Darian Herncane. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.

The Panthers' lone touchdown came on a 15-yard run in the third quarter.



The Little Lions entered the contest giving up 21.7 points per game this year.

State College also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 34-27.

In a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth game next week Central Dauphin East (2-5) takes on Mifflin County, and State College (5-2) will go up against Carlisle also in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth game.
