Basketball Recap: Greensburg Salem Comes Up Short

Greensburg Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Penn-Trafford Warriors, falling 80-41. While losing is never fun, the Golden Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 602nd, while the Warriors are ranked 214th).

Greensburg Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Penn-Trafford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Greensburg Salem will take on Geibel Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Penn-Trafford has already played their next contest (against McKeesport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
