Recap: Sumner Stingrays vs. Brandon Eagles

The Sumner Stingrays stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 83-23 victory over Brandon on the road. That 60 points margin sets a new team best for Sumner this season.

Sumner can attribute much of their success to Kyree Williams, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Karsten Walker, who scored ten points.

Sumner pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Brandon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumner and King will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. King will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Sumner is ranked 187th). As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to challenge Blake at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Blake is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
