Doniphan West won the last time they faced Pleasant Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Doniphan West Mustangs walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Pleasant Ridge Rams. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Dustin Veach made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Veach was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Eberly, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of William Kuhnert, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Doniphan West's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pleasant Ridge, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Coming up, Doniphan West will be playing in front of their home fans against Frankfort on Monday. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will head out to face off against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
