Softball Recap: D'arbonne Woods' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

D'Arbonne Woods took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Oak Grove, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. D'Arbonne Woods had just enough and edged out the Oak Grove Tigers 6-4. The win was familiar territory for D'Arbonne Woods, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Aubrey Zachary spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last six games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Charley Alford, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Joley Bennett, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

D'Arbonne Woods' victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Oak Grove, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.
