Basketball Recap: St. Charles vs. McDonough Rams
St. Charles won the last time they faced the McDonough Rams, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Charles came out on top against the Rams by a score of 47-40.
St. Charles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKenzie Thomas out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaela Spears, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
St. Charles has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for McDonough, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
St. Charles will take on the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Huntingtown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for McDonough, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crofton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
