Basketball Recap: Blue Earth Comes Up Short

Blue Earth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Jackson County Central Huskies 82-40. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Huskies are ranked 100th).

Blue Earth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jackson County Central, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Maple River the next time they take the court. Blue Earth will head out to face Maple River at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Jackson County Central will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
