Baseball Recap: Clear Lake Takes a Loss

Clear Lake has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.94 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 13-0 to the Tomball Cougars. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in February of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clear Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-3 record this season. Tomball's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Clear Lake will host Brazoswood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Clear Lake 3.9, Brazoswood 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Tomball will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on April 12th.
