Orcas Island posted their closest win since October 24, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Friday Harbor Wolverines. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Orcas Island took Friday Harbor into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-13, 24-26, 15-12.

Orcas Island's record now sits at 6-8. As for Friday Harbor, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Orcas Island is set to square off against their familiar foe Darrington at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Friday Harbor will challenge rival Concrete at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
