Basketball Game Preview: Ocean Springs Greyhounds vs. D'Iberville Warriors

The Ocean Springs Greyhounds will head out to square off against the D'Iberville Warriors at 11:42 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Ocean Springs and eight for D'Iberville.

Last Friday, Ocean Springs lost to Harrison Central on the road by a 54-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Red Rebels are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, D'Iberville took a blow against St. Martin on Friday, falling 60-31.

Ocean Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for D'Iberville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Ocean Springs skirted past D'Iberville 37-35 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ocean Springs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
