Softball Recap: Poquoson Islanders vs. York Falcons
Poquoson barely beat York the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Islanders blew past the Falcons 12-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Islanders have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Poquoson got a great performance from Natalie Klochak as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Alyssa Laney was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tinley Goodson, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.
