Anabelle Wenzel Game Report: @ Griswold

While St. Bernard might've come up empty on Wednesday, Anabelle Wenzel wasn't going down without a fight. Wenzel was dialed in as she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Griswold back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock.

Even though Wenzel couldn't lead St. Bernard over Griswold, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Wenzel's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Saints' three-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Wenzel and the Saints surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Wednesday's match.
