Steeleville is a perfect 10-0 against Lebanon since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will challenge the Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Steeleville has five straight wins, Lebanon has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Steeleville was able to grind out a solid victory over Dupo, taking the game 6-2.
Parker Fiene made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Steeleville let Carson Rednour and Braden Middendorf run wild. Rednour went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI, while Middendorf went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Rednour a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Lebanon's offense. They came up short against Marissa/Coulterville on Thursday, falling 10-0.
Steeleville pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Steeleville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Steeleville took their win against Lebanon when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greyhounds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
