Baseball Recap: McCall-Donnelly Vandals vs. Homedale Trojans

McCall-Donnelly extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 28 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They lost 20-1 to the Homedale Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 24-0 loss back in March.

As for Homedale, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.

For Homedale's part, Chance Martell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martell was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
