Softball Recap: Baldwin Park Drops Highest Score of Season Against Azusa

Baldwin Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Azusa Aztecs. On the bright side, the 14- run performance marked the Braves' highest-scoring contest to date.

Julia Arvizuv led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. Marissa Ramirez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Baldwin Park's record is now 0-18. As for Azusa, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Looking ahead, Baldwin Park will square off against Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Azusa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
