Softball Recap: Kane Comes Up Short

Kane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to the Elk County Catholic Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 17-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Kane's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Elk County Catholic, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Elk County Catholic will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Brookville at 4:15 p.m. Kane will be paying especially close attention to the Crusaders' matchup: after the Crusaders face off against Brockway, they'll take on Kane again at 4:15 p.m. on April 8.
