Basketball Game Preview: Twiggs County Cobras vs. Georgia Military College Bulldogs

The Twiggs County Cobras will take on the Georgia Military College Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Twiggs County and 28 for Georgia Military College dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Twiggs County ended up a good deal behind Wilkinson County and lost 64-48.

Meanwhile, Georgia Military College played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Wilkinson County, falling 67-40. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.

Twiggs County will need focus on slowing down Benjamin Vaughn, one of several Georgia Military College players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points and six boards. Those 16 points gave Vaughn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Carty, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Georgia Military College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Twiggs County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Twiggs County took their victory against Georgia Military College when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 65-41. Will Twiggs County repeat their success, or does Georgia Military College have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
