Recap: Metro Christian Academy Eagles vs. Horizon Christian Academy Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to the Metro Christian Academy Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were outmatched by Horizon Christian Academy at home and fell 63-9.
Horizon Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Nyla Black, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five steals. Black has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Beckstrom, who scored seven points along with six assists and three steals.
Metro Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metro Christian Academy will challenge Pleasant View Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Horizon Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Haven Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. South Haven Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
