Basketball Recap: Oklahoma Union Has No Trouble Against Afton

Oklahoma Union won the last time they faced Afton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Oklahoma Union Cougars were the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over the Afton Eagles.

Despite the loss, Afton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Victor went 8 for 19 on his way to 21 points. The contest was Victor's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brady Robinson, who posted seven points and five boards.

Oklahoma Union has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Afton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Oklahoma Union will take on Caney Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma Union is facing Caney Valley at the right time seeing as Caney Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Afton, they will face off against Welch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Welch will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Afton surely won't give up without a fight.
