Richfield's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Emery Spartans. Considering the Wildcats' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Jess Curtis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Malik Fautin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Richfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emery only posted a batting average of .222.

Richfield's record is now 7-12. As for Emery, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Richfield will welcome South Sevier at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Emery, they will head out to face off against Spanish Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Dons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
