Soccer Recap: Belen Jesuit Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Belen Jesuit's offense. They fell just short of the Cypress Bay Lightning by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. One reason for the loss might be the Wolverines' aggressive play style: three Belen Jesuit players were handed yellow cards.

This is the second loss in a row for Belen Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 4-4-3. As for Cypress Bay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3-2.

Belen Jesuit is taking a road trip to take on Reagan at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Reagan's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Cypress Bay, they will welcome Everglades at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Bay is facing Everglades at the right time seeing as Everglades is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
