Basketball Game Preview: Lubbock T Titans vs. Midessa Warriors

The Lubbock T Titans will face off against the Midessa Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lubbock T saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against DasCHE, falling 67-41. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1500th, while the Spartans are ranked 570th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midessa). They walked away with a 63-54 victory over New Way Christian Academy on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Midessa is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Lubbock T, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Lubbock T won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, slipping by Midessa 59-58. Will Lubbock T repeat their success, or does Midessa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
