Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. Parkway South

The Columbia Eagles will take on the Parkway South Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Parkway South better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Columbia's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Columbia really gets things going. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Lutheran. The result kept Columbia happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 11th.

Riley Mathews and Reese Woelfel scored all four of Columbia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 39 goals.

Meanwhile, Parkway South entered their tilt with Seckman on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 4-0 shutout.

Columbia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2-3 record this season. As for Parkway South, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
